Yala National Park spans 130,000 hectares of diverse terrain, from dense jungle to open grasslands and lagoons. The park is home to 44 species of mammals and 215 species of birds.

The highlight is undoubtedly the Sri Lankan leopard — Yala offers the best chance of spotting this elusive big cat.
